Hyundai basses?

So I spotted this on my local Craig's List today:

I did a quick search here and didn't find anything. I assume it's the same Hyundai that builds cars? Just curious if anyone knows anything about these. I couldn't afford a $100 bass right now even if I wanted to

I've got one, it was the first bass I ever played. Mine was a short scale, looks like the neck was shaved and repainted black. Also looks like a crappy paint job over a maple fretboard.

It's nothing spectacular, but it does work pretty well. Sounds good with flatwounds. Never had any problems with the construction or the electronics. A solid little bass. I've never been able to find much out about it though.
 
I really don't think it's the same Hyundai conglomerate that everyone's thinking about. "현대" is just an adjective that basically means "contemporary." Loads of small companies insert it in front of their names to try to sound reputable. (sort of like "Princeton Review," who have no affiliation whatsoever to Princeton University)
