I’m new. Looking for some help

Hello. I’m new to this blog. I don’t play bass but my son does. I’m not a luthier but I decided to try to build him his “dream bass”. I have some decent carpentry skills and a nicely appointed workshop.
Had some scrap pieces of maple and walnut from trees that had fallen in my yard. I had the tree milled into lumber to build some projects.
My sons dream bass is a
“neck through hollow body fretless electric”
I’m at the point in the build where I need to decide how to finish the fretboard. I’m leaning toward CA glue.
Can anyone give me some some of their experience with CA glue on a fretboard. I know how the finish will be. I’ve done it before. I’m more interested in how it will sound.
