At least you got that part right.**banned immediately for poor taste lol
Yeah cause grunge had so much more soul in it than overproduced 80's blues, NOT! It's easy to be a sheep and like whatever talk shows tell you the masses should like at the time to fit into the social zeitgeist. At least I have the balls to post songs outside that box unlike a lot of people...At least you got that part right.
Sounds like generic 80's movie music.
Ok I concede... Even though "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica is one of the biggest sellout song of all time apparently "it's awesome man cause it's like Metallica n' stuff". Yeah the hair bands really sold out with the ballads but if Metallica does the exact same thing it's an instant classic, same with GNR with "November Rain". Yeah Winger is so much more pop than that lol. Guess I have to accept I need to be told what to like by the system to fit in.So, where is this blues and heartful soulfullness? Haven’t heard any yet.
What I did hear is more of that formulaic beer commercial type music of 40 years ago.
I didn't like grunge anymore than I like cheesy music that sounds like it was from an episode of Knight Rider. I don't even understand your MJ comment. Blues bands sound like blues bands. There's nothing about this that sounds like a blues band.Yeah cause grunge had so much more soul in it than overproduced 80's blues, NOT! "Michael Jackson is the best but blues bands aren't allowed to play pop at all..."
You keep talking about all these other bands that nobody's mentioning or defending here. You posted some garbage. People pointed it out. Move on.Ok I concede... Add to that… Delmark, Rounder, Black Top, Varrick, Adelphi, Storyville, Antone’s, Yazoo/Shanachie, Spindletop, etc. Besides the above album, Albert Collins’ career(as well as that of Buddy Guy and Lonnie Mack)was on an upswing, then there was the Kinsey Report, the Nighthawks, James Harman, Roomful of Blues/Duke Robillard/Ronnie Earl, Lucky Peterson, Lil’ Ed, Marcia Ball, Sue Foley, Lou Ann Barton, and on and on. My favorite band of that time period(although I was more of a fan of Charlie Baty’s guitar playing and less of frontman Rick Estrin), was this bunch, the Nightcats…
