I like Boozer, too. He's caught a lot of flak since he wilted in the playoffs this year, and I'm not sure he wants to be here any more.
Williams is currently renegotiating. The Jazz are crazy if they don't offer him the full 5-year extension for max money.
They got someone to replace me. A friend of the guitarists, who is a jazz based guy, heavy in theory and education. I know he did an MTV thing years back of some sort, not sure what it was though. I'm gonna miss that gig! A lot of fun, and great coin!

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Denver is Benny's, 301 E 7th Ave. it's rather noisy, but always good - and not overpriced.
The lower downtown (LoDo) district is pretty fun for night life, but there have been incidents in the wee hours in recent weeks. The city is working on improving safety, but if you go there to party, leave at a reasonable hour - not closing time.
You will adjust to the altitude in a couple of months. It's not that bad. If you want a challenge, visit the resort town of Breckenridge and try climbing flights of stairs at 9600 feet!

I'll know you've arrived in Denver if poor Lemmiewinks falls out of the sky and in to my yard. But it sounds like there's a gerbil farm nearby so you'll be OK.
The pollution in Denver can be the pits. I lived in Cheyenne Wyoming one winter just acrosss the border...that cured me. Got headaches every time I visited Denver. Missed the gerbil farms though.
Congrats on the new situation. New job and new city all at the same time can be exciting, scarry, etc, etc all at once.

Prior to today, I haven't accepted the job I mentioned at the beginning of this thread. I was thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking. Because it's contract work, my start date was very flexible, so I had time to really think about it.
Well, I just handed my 3-week notice into my clinical director about 15 minutes ago. My last day of work is 8/08. I'm packing up my ride and driving west on 8/09.
To reiterate what I said in my first post, I am terrified.

Here's a hint for any time you move to a new city: get a phone book from that city before you move. It makes finding everything easier. The Internet will cover most of your info needs, but a good phone book is still valuable.

Cool man! I've lived in the Denver Area all 18 years of my little life. I have traveled a lot and I havn't found a place i'd rather be.
Oh and you should buy a Season Pass to a mountain you like.

Make the trip an adventure, too - look for stuff to stop and see while you're traveling. If you've not done a lot of trans-country drives, it's a great chance to see stuff. And don't neglect the "see the snake pit" places if you find some - they're great slices of Americana.
