I know this has been posted before, but it is great to hear a classic Jaco lick being played on an R&B song and realizing how perfectly it fit.
Speaking of party down. I was waiting for a store to open and while standing out front a fellow waited in his car listening to this. I could only make out the groove and it was good. So when we entered the store a few minutes later, I had to ask him what it was.

Never thought of Jaco as a pocket player, but man, his pocket is untouchable here.

It's one of those Jaco-isms, he uses a version at about the three minute mark of Slang:
honestly i don't dig the jaco groove here, too bouncy and moving too much, but ive never heard of little beaver before, so thanks for that! about to do the deep dive on his discography
