I can't be the only one who suffers from this

No. Kudos to you for respecting the relationship though. I thought one of those paragraphs was going to end differently.

-Mike

Thanks, man. I'm really not the kind of guy to jump in between two people who are in a relationship.

Because they're more relaxed about things. They don't have to be wary of every guy they talk to because they won't be going on an endless string of bad dates, worrying about whether the guy will do something to harm them.

OTOH, it could be you who's not seeing the signals that they're putting out there re: being in a relationship and then choosing to chase them anyway because, deep down, you don't want a committed relationship or don't trust women.

Makes sense. To address your second paragraph, I kind of doubt it, but considering how bad my last two serious relationships have ended you might be right. Personally, being single doesn't bother me much at all. It's just that recently I've been wanting to start dating again.

Get ahold of her friends. Tap then all.

Probably the best advice in this thread despite me not wanting to continue down this path :p

Attractive women are always in demand. People in general tend to like to be in a relationship. Finding that moment when an attractive woman is available is not easy. I'm eleven years married, but during the (ahem) many years up until that point, I always had a whole lot of women friends. Some very attractive, and some not. I find having a huge pool of women who know, like and trust you is awesome, because sometimes one you always liked will become available, and it isn't very hard for a "friend" to become a "lover."

For those of you who have trouble making that (ahem) jump, I guess I should write a book, or something, because it's much easier than most people make it out to be.

This isn't something I've really considered but it's 100% true. At least for me, I'd say most of my relationships have started from being friends first with a girl first and then me and her would hook up after a few months of hanging out. I guess I need to start having more girls as friends again lol.

As others have said any girl thats attractive really has a boyfriend , or 20+ guys they could choose to go out with at anytime its the facts of life really.I had a pretty big crush on a girl , my friends sister , who had a boyfriend. She wa sone of those really attractive girls but also not a girl girl and acted pretty cool , long boarded etc, but I just let it go and when she was single I was dating someone and she told me that she had a crush on me which blew me away but I had a girlfriend and I loved her so I didnt wander from that relationship. There are a lot of people a person would match great with but its all about the timing and finding a attractive single girl can be hard.

I think its good you have respect for their relationship as well.

During high school, I was in an English class and on the first day, I got there in time to find that there was only one seat left, next to a girl whose cousin I had met the previous summer. Sparks were flying immediately! The chemistry was intense and we ended up going out after she blew off someone else. She ended up being an incredible biatch and I don't know how long she cheated on me, but she did. Go figure!

Her aunt called her husband by my name for over two years after I was out of the picture and he didn't like it, at all.

I don't believe, IMO, there is a correlation. You must also realize that women will lie about these things in order to get you out of their hair. No offense to you...but it's what many will do.

This,
I know a lot of single woman (including my sister) that have cheap wedding rings they put on when they are going out. Just to make it easier to brush off guys. When they see a guy they like it comes off.

As I said, my own people are letting me know they have boyfriends. That, or I find out through Facebook. It's not the girls who I'm talking to who are saying they're taken.

But yes, that kind of stuff does happen.

I hate to be one of those guys who starts this kind of thread since it's summer time, but....

Does any other guy find himself always crushing on girls who already have boyfriends? No lie, tonight was the fifth girl in a row in the past month who I've met and have found myself crushing on only to find out that they already have another dude on lock down. And it's not even the girls, themselves, telling me they have a guy, but, rather, it's either Facebook or one of my guy or girl friends letting me know.

It just kinda sucks when you've already pushed the quantity over quality philosophy as far as it can go and need to get back into dating for your own mental and physical well-being. I just don't get why taken girls are always soooooo much easier to talk to and get interested in, even if you don't even know they're in a relationship yet.
you'll find its no surprise alot of the good girls/guys are taken, its just life. sorry. Take it to match.com

Last night I went to the bar with a girl a few years older then me , were strictly friends as I am in a relationship. We were there with other friends and she was hit on 3 times , each time she stood close to me and introduced me as her boyfriend. This usually happens whenever we go out to the bars with a group of people. If a girl gets hit on by someone she doesnt wanna talk to she would just turn to me or one of the guys I were with and say thats my boyfriend.

That fact is if your a pretty girl , you will be hit on many times a day. Guys get hit on at such a lower rate. That said a attractive 40 year old lady hit on me last night and said I was attractive or something........gotta love the cougars.

Go for the older chicks :D
