I can't decide which bass to sell!

Which one to sell?

I voted Ibanez. They're a dime a dozen at the 500-series. If you had a 800 or 900 or a prestige, it'd be different. Squire would be my next vote. I WILL find you and kick you in the cojones if you sell that spector or P-bass...........that is, unless you want to make me a good deal on either. :bassist:

Why do you even have a Squier in the running with the others? It's like saying should I sell my Camaro, my Challenger, my Mustang or my KIA Rio? The best two you have are the Spector or the Ibanez, better pickups, better variety of sound. The P bass..eehhh, OK, kinda the standard "every bass player should have one" thing. The Squier just makes me wonder why with the other three did you even buy that turd to begin with?

They're not a dime a dozen. Of those four, it was the most expensive bass I bought, as I bought it new.

And it's extremely difficult to find one with a maple board in the UK.

Better variety of sound, hmmm... Spector and Ibanez may have million of different sounds, but neither is very good at sounding like a '51 P-bass. So whenever one needs that sort of tone, this Squier is much more usable. This bass sounds good and is very playable, and these are the qualities instruments should be judged by. If you say that it's a turd because it's inexpensive or because it has a wrong logo on the headstock, well, that says a lot more about you than about that bass. But of course one needs some ears and musical skills to judge an instrument by its sound and quality and not price and country of manufacture or number of knobs...

Since you have a Euro Spector, sell the NS! Its redundent in your collection and could net you some dough. Id keep the Ibanez as a 5 would be good to keep handy and Id keep the fretless. So I guess the Spector and/or the Squier. By the way, where did you get the maple fretless neck?

If I were in your place, I would probably sell the Squier.

The NS-2A has active EMGs, so it's definately a keeper no matter if you also own a Euro. Very beautiful bass also.

The ibby is your only 5er, with quite good electronics and a maple fingerboard. I've found that these basses have a very good value for money, so I would keep that too.

As for the fretless, I'd ask myself if I use it.
I don't like fretless basses, so I would probably sell it, but this is a question that only you can asnwer.


Bottom line, my advice is to definately keep the Spector and the Ibby.
Great tones and playability, useable for 95% of music played.

I didn't know you had a Euro too!! awesome, I would ditch the squire P-bass... many have said, but they are common and between the 2 Spectors and the Warwick I think you can get ANY tone you want.... the ibbys are good basses and is a solid backup... and why would you sell a fretless? lol thats my opinion.. if you sell the NS-2A I would be very sad :bawl:

I am going to go against the grain and say sell the Spector. That one doesn't really do it for me. Also I am a sucker for blue basses, so I actually like that Squier. Fretless P is a keeper too, and those Ibby's are fun to play around on (also worth keeping a 5er around).
