I choose a bass for pop-rock... need help))

The Fender Jazz or a SUB5 whether it's active or not. If the SUB is not active it's still a fine bass that's not being made anymore and can be upgraded later to suit your taste. I'm not sure about the CiJ Jazz Bass but the SUB is gonna be heavy.
I've got a Fender Jazz and a MM Sub 5 (passive) and I can do anything. GAS? I fart in your Direction! ha!

honestly I have heard good things about Gary Levinson and his Blades
but I think the long term investment should be in the Fender or the SUB

Blade basses are wonderful instruments. I had a quick go on Yolanda Charle's jazz that she's had for years, and it played really really well, but weighed an absolute TON.
