Levinson Blades are on a par with Mike Lull's. Rare in North America, despite their American heritage. Gary Levinson is American, but has lived in Switzerland for many years.
Go to www.bladeguitars.com and send them an email regarding the serial number. Since yours has the Fender style headstock, I'm sure it was made in the 90's. They have a much improved internal preamp that they will sell you to swap out. They quoted me $300 two years ago when I was looking at buying that very same bass. Instead, I went with a new NYC Sadowsky.
FWIW...I downsized my fleet, selling two Fender Jazz basses and keeping the Blade and an old Fender P fretless.
You bought a lot of bass for the money. Congrats. Not hard to sell second hand in Europe, especially the older ones.
