I dislike blue LEDs.

Out of 16 pedals I only have one with blue LED's and while I may not stare at it, it is coincidently the only pedal I regularly change the settings on (pitch shifter/harmonizer) and when that little blue light is on I cant see the settings. Even the two knobs next to the LED are blurred out by the light.

You don't have to look directly at blue LEDs.
Just having them illuminated while I'm looking down to switch an effect on or off is enough to realize how irritating the blue laser pointers built into my pedals are.


And you don't stare directly into the sun while you're driving, but you still put the shades down.

I have one pedal that is yellow and INSANELY bright. In a dark room it is blinding.

Honestly me too. The multiple white LEDs on my gobstompper and blue leds scattered about are annoying, and I've been meaning to put a little scotch tape over the leds just to diffuse them but still haven't.

someone find me purple led's and purple patch cables, and purple other cables..

i think i'm gonna have the grills on my rig powder coated purple.

Totally off topic, or not. Walterw's link mentioned that "developing the blue LED was very difficult", but purple is probably also a difficult colour to get right for LEDs. For example, it is especially difficult for pyrotechnologists to make fireworks that appear purple when pyrotechnicians set them off.

If the amount of potassium nitrate isn't "just right" in the fireworks they will appear red or blue instead of purple.

I'm not a pyro-person, so take the info I've given with a grain of salt. Just some stuff I read somewhere long ago.
