I don't have a Guitar Center Slap Riff...

Hi,

Am I still allowed to try out the basses when I am there?

HA! Me neither. I usually play, very quietly, something like "School Days" from Stanley or "The Chicken" like Jaco. I'm trying like heck to do an approximation of "Uptown Funk" 'cause my country band wants to be cool. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I'm certain I've heard that song a bunch of times, but can't quite put my finger on the name of it at the moment...

I believe the title is "Gateway to Hell."

EDIT: I can't claim to have invented that one. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I play Peg when I try a bass. Good line, moves over all the strings and past the 12th fret. Also use Jamiroquai stuff. I don't slap. No one thanks me, but I like to think that maybe someone appreciates the subtlety of my licks. Of course, there probably isn't a soul in GC that knows "Peg" anyway.
