I don't like black basses...

Black basses are my favorite color. A black Fender with a black pickguard with the little white outline around the edge is my fave. I don't care for black body with white pickguard though.

I don't know if Fender ever issued a standard P or J with black body/guard. My 84 SQ Squier P from Japan has this combo and it's a beauty.

They did in the 70's. And you can always get a replacement pickguard.

I like black basses especially ones with a tortoise shell pickguard, I think they look classy. But I must say that I am partial to my Ebony T-Bird with its white pickguard.

If "something" has the name Black Widow, how you get green or red color?
BTW, I cannot stand white color on bass.

I like black basses, but they make you disappear visually on most stages unless you wear contrasting clothes. So I avoid them. But if you want to stay hidden, all black is the way to go.
