I dreamed all my basses got stolen.

I've had 2 variants on this dream, I bet I'm not the only one here who's had it. I'm at a concert, either Rush or Yes. I'm in the crowd, before the show starts guy comes up to the mic and announces that Geddy/Chris are ill and can't plan and can anyone in the audience play the songs ..........

@Joe Nerve, you just didn’t stay asleep long enough. The next part of the dream was that your musical idol showed up in a van with every bass you’d ever wanted, said they were tired of them, and wanted to give them to you.

Many years ago, I had a reoccurring dream of seeing my '64 T-bird underwater and the surface was frozen! It probably related to having my '63 T-bird stollen by my apt next-door neighbor a few years earlier when I was out for the evening. I knew he nicked it and yet couldn't just walk into his place where I knew it was standing. Dreams can mean a lot of things but are usually related to things in our lives that made a big impression.
Fear of theft caused your dream. You need a guard animal.

Whoa! Weird! I'm glad it was only a dream!
Last night must have been "bass dream" night. I too had a weird dream last night. In my dream, I went to check out a local band that was going to rehearse in their garage. When I got there, the bass player told me that he didn't have enough money to buy a bass guitar, and that's when he picked up a 9 iron golf club and held it almost horizontally and started playing it as if it was a bass. I couldn't figure out how he was getting it to create notes and how he knew where to put his fingers on the "neck". But somehow he was playing real notes with it.Dreams................weird!
I had a dream once, that someone stole my brothers accordion.............

My Ricky 4001 that I bought with paper route and busboy money in 1973 was stolen from under my bed by a delinquent little neighbor kid in 1979. This being 70s suburbia no one locked their doors and I was living with mom and dad but my bedroom was in the basement and had a separate entrance which as I've mentioned wasn't locked. When I discovered the theft my mom and others helped me put up fliers and the bass was returned within a day or so. The little punk was entirely unrepentant and I should've pressed charges. I'm sure he went on to bigger and better things.
