I fell prey to the Redsub.

@sirsam22 it looks as though yours came from the same warehouse as mine, lol. Be careful when you take the strings off, the nut will probably just fall right off. I found out, recently that graphtech DOES in fact sell precut fan fretted nuts, but you have to email them directly and special order them. I did and it should be here in a few days. Now I have to figure out how to get a superglued nut off without damaging the bass too much.

Yikes! Good luck. The nut on mine has a really sharp point one the inside of the G string, so it pokes when I play down low. I thought about just filing it, but I'm gonna exchange it. There were just too many issues for me to be paying for a "new" instrument. Support got back to me to say they'd refund my shipping cost as a way to apologize for the issues. But, it's B stock condition. I told them I'm happy with it in general and want another one. It should be free to have them pick it up and send the exchange because it's got defects and it's still in the 14 day window after purchase. I played it live a couple times this week, and I quickly discovered the fret ends were sharper than I thought, and I had not filed anything yet. Got some decent scratching on my fretting hand. One almost went deep enough for blood.

Here's hoping the next one they look over a little better before boxing it up. Still need to get new strings, tuners, Dunlop straplocks, and a case/bag.

I ended up getting some money back on mine ($30 USD) since I complained to them about the finishing compound all over everything. Wasn't about to send it back, too much trouble. My tuners were also crappy and I swapped them out for Gotohs as well adding Dunlop straplocks, EB Super Slinkies and a fresh battery. It's been my standard tuning bass at gigs and I'm pretty happy with it, although I need to find a better fitting case for it. Someone on YouTube asked me to upload a video of some sound samples, so I did.

Finally got the second one. The figuring on the top was soooooo nice. The frets end were super smooth. But, the neck broke at the scarf joint in shipping. Sending it back, too. Still deciding if I replace it or just refund it and save up to get something custom.
