Very cool!1964 VOX Crucianelli made Escort Bass -
I have owned this bass for about 8 years but I finally bit the bullet and got it fixed. The neck was bowed and adjusting the truss rod could not take it out. So my luthier took off the fret board and installed a new truss rod and two graphite rods to stiffen the neck. When I purchased this bass from a guy in England it was missing the scratch plate and pick up selector switch. After years of looking I found both on E Bay (or Reverb I forget which). Note: All of these basses that I have ever seen have had bowed necks, so I assume the neck design was weak. It sounds surprisingly good kind of like a Hofner.

That's the only escort you can invest in once and enjoy forever!![]()
I avoid all thingsYou've clearly never heard of the Ford Escort.
I'll probably loose money on it if I sold it but the action is now low and stable. My hat is off to you, sir.
Someone should be reviving cool old axes like this, but I am far too lazy & cheap.
Do you still have this bass? Just curious - I don't ever see this model, just the teardrop and Phantom styles.1964 VOX Crucianelli made Escort Bass -

Yea, still have it. I play it at gigs where I want my bass to have an electro/acoustic guitar look vs. a Fender bass look. In searching for parts for the restoration I found another one (well actually another 3, some in pieces). This one has a non-original pick guard. I May restore it somedayDo you still have this bass?
