BassikLee, God bless you for your perseverance. I hope this works out well for you, because there's obviously a great deal of interest in this line of basses around this community. With all of the threads on this site and the apparent history of "Deal or No Deal" with the Italian manufacturer, I would say stick to your guns regarding the deadline next week. These folks may come around and cut a clean deal, but it's obvious that they've already given a number of potential American distributors a ridiculous runaround.

I agree. I do not understand some companies. It's like they don't want to sell their products. The more hoops you make dealers jump through, the less likely they are to work with you and no dealers equal no sales. Maybe they feel like they don't really need the US market. I would be interested in one of these basses. I think they seem pretty cool. I hope we hear something soon.

I am wondering if they are heavy my ATK is like 10 pds but, these look lighter is that assumption true?

And what does the neck feel like is it a Jazz, a P, or a Ibanez style neck?

Oh CRAP! I just heard the demo video it sounds like sex. :p

The neck is very nicely done on the one I have here. I would put it like a jazz fiver, maybe slightly thinner front to back than some. As far as weight, the Fusion 5 is medium heavy. I'd put it somewhere between 9 and 10 pounds. I can weigh mine tonight. I remember the SuperB was quite a bit lighter. That one has a much smaller body, made of basswood. The P body made of alder that mine wears is substantial. I hope to have a final answer about these soon.

For those of you who like the Fusion design, but are not into 5 strings, there is a Fusion 4 in the Tuscany line. I only played the Swing bass from that line (the 4 string jazz demo), but it was very nicely done too.

They would be terrible bases. You can't land a helicopter on either, let alone a plane. Dock a ship? You wish. House an administration center or barracks? No way :hiding: ;) :hiding:

There is no objective measure of a "Better Bass", It's all about what's right for you. They will certainly not have the clout or tone of a classic Fender, and that is either a good or a bad thing depending on who you are. They will sound different, and some will swear by the Fender without even hearing or playing the other.

Wow,the first time that a random thread helped me out not saying other threads are lame or whatever but i read that the Super B 4 string would debut in september which is around the time pfd comes for us alaskans so im super stoked
