I gave the infamous "DEATH CAP" a face...

"The "death cap" refers to a capacitor in older amps that is connected to the amp's ground switch. And, if this cap goes bad (usually shorts), it can connect one leg of the AC wall outlet wiring directly to the amp's chassis."
I had that happen to my old SWR Redhead. Hated that amp. I was glad to have it out of my life.
Use a ceramic disc, which is the type of cap that they are.
And it also makes a better "drawing" shape for a "face".

I'm used to the term "death cap" referring to the cap used to "ground" the chassis on really, really old amps that had polarized two prong cords.
I had an old 60s Fender Champ like that - it was a 0.047uF/600V cap that ran directly between the chassis and the power cord's "neutral" leg. With an polarized cord, "neutral" is actually "hot" half the time. Those particular caps would eventually fail and start behaving like a resistor, and POOF, your chassis is now at 120V.
I only learned about this because it became VERY painful to touch the amp depending on the cords orientation.
Super smart design, right?
