Bought my very first P yesterday: NBD: very first Fender P bass

Yeah, I get it now. So much so I'm cruising eBay/Craigslist non-stop for other Ps.

Not sure I want that Wal now. This P plays, sounds, and records so well I just can't imagine wanting anything other than a P now. Soooooo weird. If I travel back in time 2 weeks and told myself I'm a P bass guy, I'd think I was high/drunk.

When I first started out....I didn't want a P Bass!! anything but!! then, I bought a "Boat Anchor" 1978 P-Bass!! .....Now, I'm an a P-Bass Junkie!!! I can't Get Enough!!

Below is my 1969 "Dirt Bass" ....she's a dirty old girl.... she's been abused!! I rescued her.... she gives me lot's of love!!

To me, that bass is screaming for a set of DR Black Beautys. The nice shiny metallic strings just "pop" to much on a bass like that.

I have a Fender Select Precision, and a Sandberg tm4 (Jazz). I use the Sandberg in my mainstream pop& rock coverband, the Precision gets all the other playing-time in my blues&classic rock coverband.
I find that the Sandberg is more versatile, and very easy to play. But the Precision just speaks to me, and reacts better to my playing, and that sound is just like butter! It sits in mix perfectly!
If I had to chose one, it would be the Precision, no doubt!

I have my JB since 1998. Then in the beginning of the year I have bought a P. Well this Month, in my Birthday, I have bought the Steve Harris Signature P. Only because Ps ARE AWESOME! Say it: LEGENDARY!!
