I got a chainsaw!!

Yeah chainsaws are fun. I've been getting some good use out of mine as a result of the ice storms we had here over the winter. We have an old (late 70's) homelite one. I don't even want to know how many trees met their demise because of that saw! (It cut enough wood to keep a woodburning stove going for 20 years!) But whatever you do, just don't get an electric one. It just takes all the fun out of it.

My neighbor was having a christmas party when he calls me and asks me to bring over my chainsaw. :eyebrow: I go over to find the fully decorated christmas tree lying across the floor while he frantically tries to cut the uneven stump with a hand saw. I fire up the chainsaw, and in 5 seconds cut an even edge on the stump. We then put the tree back in the base :smug: You should have seen the looks on the faces of the people in that house :eek:

haha, I was just on the phone with a friend of mine, and he reminded me of another funny chainsaw story.

Another friend of mine was having a party, so there's a house full of high school kids. Well, boys will be boys. Over the course of the night, a 5 foot tall gnome from a local driving range was stolen and brought back to this guy's house. A little bit later, one of us stumbled upon an electric chainsaw in his garage. One thing led to another, and we had pieces of foam gnome flying everywhere.

Dangerous? Oh probably. Really really funny to a bunch of 17 year old kids? Oh yeah.

Now I want one and of course I would be cutting things down at night. Too bad I just trimmed my beard I really did look like a convict that just got out for murder, or not caught yet. :smug:

When you scare a friend that you hang out with everyday and have never done anything to, you know you look scary.

I love buying things looking like I am going to go kill someone, like I bought a machette and a flashlight long hair and beard untrimed, allblack clothes, boots and trench coat, no expression except a little smile for what I knew it looked like I was planning.

Not a chainsaw story but a cutting tool non-the-less :cool:

Oh and Blisshead, congratulations!
