I got a chainsaw!!

..but I broke the chain within five minutes. I forgot to tension it. I bought a new chain. I was just out in the dark cutting things down, great fun! There is something a little creepy about hearing a chainsaw at night, at least according to my neighbor.

anybody have any good chainsaw stories?

Do I? No. Does my mother, a paramedic? Yes, many. You might be able to fathom how most of her stories start and end.

Bliss, frankly, I'm frightened that you're handy. I'd feel much safer if you were merely a pencil pusher. And, oddly, people feel the same way about me and my knowledge of physics, carpentry, and flare for creative destruction.

If I could you, my old drummer Dan and myself in an area with a lot of wood, metal, glass and gasoline the results would be phenominal.

i had to chain saw the tree out of my brand new truck a few years ago after Hurricane Isabel.

on slightly similar topic, i bought a drill press yesterday. must have been a day for tool shopping. :hyper:

Cool, a drill press would be handy. I think a table saw is next up for me though. -Or an air compressor.

am i hijacking if i tell about a lawnmower story?? not really, i guess, this is a decent 90's horror film thread anyway.....

friend of mine was mowing the lawn. something rattles and makes a strange noise under the blades. friend decides to check it out - WITH HIS FINGERS, and without shutting down the mower.

result???

Up for a Darwin award is he? :smug:

I opted for a table saw not too long ago. It is quite practical. I find myself using it more than I planned. You should also look into a DeWalt miter saw. Those are great.

Hey Josh....did you get a black and red flannel shirt when you got the chainsaw? I did. :D

i prefer a good old axe myself , my parents wont buy me a chainsaw , i guess theres no point as i cut the tree in our garden down with the axe last year so a chainsaw would have no use.....................or would it???????? ;) muhahahahahahahaha , hmmmmm i think its time to dig out my horror film collection :ninja:

I got a Rigid miter saw for Christmas from my brother when I bought my house, I use it frequently.
