It's a Black and maple peavey fury, says crafted in u.s.a, heres the serial number 08306124, can anyone help me find out ehwn it was made? al it needs is a set of strings

Seriously though, you could check out the Peavey Bass forum and ask the moderator to look up the serial. I've seen them do that before.

ok i'm loading the pictures onto photobucket, well I am in highschool and currently take a guitar class for an easy credit, and a few of the other guys were talking about maybe starting a band and what not and got into hat gear we have, i said what i have and then this dude says well i have blah blah blah and some kinda bass laying around, so i asked him if he were to sell it how much would he give it to me for, ( i was just kind of teasing the idea of a new bass). well he looked like he was thinkin about it for a minute and next thing i know he just says well how about i bring it to you tomorrow for free. not a very exciting story but hey i got a free bass

sorry about that. I just noticed it was basically a run-on sentence.
Hopefully it's in decent playing shape, but it's a great bass. I have two and love them...from the serial # it's newer than 1995.

Congrats!! That's a rock solid bass that will hang with ANY production P bass. Give it some good strings and a good setup and it will work well for you and last forever

First, a USA made Peavey is always a good bass, no matter what the cost (within reason) But a free USA Peavey? Well then that's just the deal of the century!
For free I'd expect a neck bowed so much the bass would double as a bow and arrow set...or have no headstock or something, but a perfectly fine, functioning bass that would probably sell in the 3 to 400 dollar range?
I feel so inadequate right now....
