ok, well I discovered I had this problem when a former band member was listening to me play Laid to Rest (Lamb of God) and he stopped me and told me that I was slurring a lot. Now I've never really noticed this but I must say he's right about it, I do slur my playing a lot, not as much with the easier stuff but with the more technical stuff I do. So does anybody have any suggestions of what I could do to help with this, I've been trying my best with so many songs that I already know but no matter what I always seem to slur. Do you think I should just keep playing and it will fix itself after I get more experience?

Sounds like you struggle with speed and accuracy on difficult and fast parts. The tried and true method to improve this is to play the line at about 1/2 speed repeatidly then bring the speed up gradually to full speed and practice the troulbesome parts often.
This. The slower you play it,and the more often you play it builds the muscle memory for those parts.
