I hate cell phones.

I know that it’s illegal to ride bike on sidewalk... I also know that they should be on street or in bike lane...

However you are not type of bicyclist I am talking about and missing my point (seem to happen a lot so I do blame myself for that :) ).

I am talking about people who ride 10mph on 30 mph single lane street right in the middle of it and wont let cars through... I am talking about people riding in 3rd lane of a busy street cutting people off going in and out of traffic... not paying attention to stoplights, and again going slower then traffic with out moving out of the way. There a lot of bicyclist out there that think they have right of way and do whatever they want on road just because they wear tight pants and a helmet...

But this is just it… my point on this whole threat was just that. I would say you are a victim of what I am talking about here. Because of few bad bicyclist you get nailed with stereotype by those idiots throwing things at you. Simply because few bicyclist act like idiot bicycles and people who ride bikes get nailed with this type of stereotype and people start to hate what they have no reason to hate.

Here is another example… you got miss treated by few idiot drivers… there are plenty of those morons who got license simply because people working in DMV don’t know how to drive either. So you got nailed by few of those morons… now you don’t hate all drivers and all cars do you? Right?



even though you see plenty of people who annoy you as a driver on bicycles you cant look at bicycles themselves and everyone who ride them negatively. Your case is perfect example on my point... because of few people who really do piss people off on the road the

I'm going to emphasise again (like others are doing) that the anti-cellphone people are blaming cell phones for the existence of annoying people. I'm an intern on capitol hill, and I work with some very respectable people. They all have and use cell phones or blackberries. Not exactly the annoying teenager stereotype you're looking for?

Yes they would be... there be something else they would find to annoy you with... cars, bikes, walkmen, radio, boomboxes, bad music, talking loud, and being your usual idiot...

Most, if not all handheld GPS units are accurate to about 3 meters, I can't imagine they'd be that great in cellphones (though, wait another year or two and they'll be even better). You can also turn this function off. The main point with this is that you'd be able to dial 911 in any location where there is cell service and get the most local 911 call center--not the 911 from the locality of the phone number if you're out of town.
