Did you check every pawn shop on the island.
You would not believe the two basses for $500 a piece
I saw in a pawn shop over there. This was at the
beginning of ebay, but still not every one sells here or
on ebay; some want the quick cash.
One of those basses(in that pawn shop) I saw on ebay about a year later with a starting bid of $2000.00!
There was someone on here who was selling a "decent"
bass for a "decent" price about an hour away from me.
This got me to thinking I need to go check some local
pawn shops that I haven't been to in awhile.
Well the first one I walked into had my next bass, same
brand as the "decent"/entry level bass but this was the companies top of the line model at 1/8 of the original retail
Check your pawn shops!
Check the classifieds here!
ebay/paypal are the antichrist!!!even though pp has my
card and bank info, they still want more info to lift my
"transfer" limit. ***; it's my money not theirs there making
interest on. So I just send it my exGF and she gives me
the cash or I buy stuff that I don't need!!!
Anyways, thanks to ebay hopefully someone on here
is a happy camper er bassist!!!

Oh, I certainly am, CrUiSer. Buying that amp from you turned out to be a great decision. I took it to band rehearsal on thursday and was stunned by the tone. It was great.

But yes, I agree, while ebay may seem to be the main way to sell stuff now, people still do use pawn shops and stuff if they want cash immediately and don't want to deal with shipping. Same with craigslist. Shipping instruments and amps is a PITA so I can very much understand people not wanting to bother.
