Animas, they still move around in this weather. Naw man, I is all in Queens right now and ensconced for the evening (I ain't drunk, but I been drinkin'). What's up tomorrow? Mike Kanan is playing wit my main man Eliot and Lee Hudson at Small's, you got eyes?
moving into my dorm for the year tomorrow. so tomorrow's one of those long days, i might stop by for a drink or three. pm me your number. i lost my phone on the way back from a gig in Jersey a while ago
i don't know what you're talking about, my bass is loving this weather. took off my wolf modifier and don't think i will need it again till it dries up a bit. sorry your bass isn't so thrilled.
i do miss california. about as consistent as weather gets anywhere for basses. i'll really miss it come december.
The reason why I hate summer is mostly because it makes harder to carry equipment, etc. across parking lots, etc. all dressed up. By the time I get to the stage I am all sweating, it's just uncomfortable. it's also pretty depressing driving back home late at night, I mean real late and the thermometer in your car says; 89 degrees! that just ain't right!
Oh man! I am HATING this summer on the bass. Sticky, tight...just not fun. I cannot wait for fall....
I learned this summer the only difference between a high of 110 and a high of 100 is that with a high of 110 it is still 100 at midnight!
Honestly though they feel pretty similar when the RH is under 10%.
We have a nice moderate climate here and I am playing an outdoor festival on Littlehampton sea front tomorrow - but don't expect any problems! 
Last night's outdoor gig was brutal. First set: sun directly on me and the side of the bass, alto player about a major 3rd sharp. Sweat city. Yuck. Second set: clouds set in, pressure changes, and it's suddenly cool. Humidity goes from 99% (first set) to about 170% (second set). The strings raise about an inch and a half, and my RH fingers feel like ground beef. Uncooked. I'm ready for fall/winter.

For some reason Texas club owners have decided that this year, we should all be outside. It's been 100+ everyday since June. It got so hot at one gig, smoke started pouring out of my AI head. The heat made my amp BLOW UP! I don't even want to be outside drinking a cold beer in this weather, much less playing a gig. Oh yeah, and special thanks go out to the bridezilla who just HAD to have us in tuxedos for her stupid outdoor wedding in mid August. there's a special place in hell for her. Rant over.
