i hate the bridge on fender jazz basses

i'm not very happy with my stock Jazz bridge either.

in standard tuning it works great, no complaints. but i tune down a full step (DGCF), so in order to intonate properly my F-string saddle is so far towards the neck that the tension spring is no longer needed. it just kinda sits there and makes a lot of noise when i play unplugged. the saddle is being held by the tension of the F-string.

this is an easy fix and not even that big of a problem, I just haven't go around to it yet.
