I have a sinking feeling in my stomach that quitting bass would be better for my wrist in the long run. I don't want to do that, so I'm hoping there are some exercises I can do to make my wrist better. I don't want surgery either. Ugh, I tried playing a bit today but I can feel it getting agitated, so I'm gonna take tonight off too if I can control myself.
I have horrible carpal tunnel I know how you feel. I have some stretches that might help you. They've helped me a lot. Ill explain them the best I can. If not try looking up carpal tunnel stretch exercises on google. Although you might not have it they might still do good to your wrist.
1. Take your hand move it outward palm facing out and tkae your other hand and pull it back slightly but not alot dont want to hurt yourself.
2. Take your hand and move it the other way and push forward.
3. Now take your elbow put it on your desk or something take your thumb and push it downward slightly. Do the same thing with your pinky.
And you can always massage your hands forearms a bit that helps loosen up a bit. Oh and side note hold each stretch for 30 seconds each. I hope I have been a little bit of help.
