First gig in three minutes months. Outdoors on the patio style, everyone properly distanced. Hopefully in my area the numbers continue to trend downward so we don't have to go back into lockdown. Unfortunately taking a pay cut, but gotta start somewhere. Lots more gigs on the books. Probably gonna rock my Lakland five string that I just dropped a set of Nordstrand Jazzbars into (60s wind, single coil). I've been practicing at home diligently so as to keep my calloused fingers in shape. I actually think I've improved my playing in some ways. Anybody else going back to work!??
I’m sure that you will enjoy the experience like you did when you were new to the game. If one good thing comes from this crazy virus maybe it will be that we better appreciate interaction with other people.
Yes sir its back to work for me as well...two this weekend and plenty around the corner....stay safe and rock on!!!
Definitely, although I will be doing my to NOT really interact with other people, at least physically.
Interesting night overall. Quite a bit different from what we're usec to (I've been playing here regularly for about a decade). Capacity was limited, so not a lot of people were there at any given time, but the restaurant was on a 90 minute wait. Some actually brought chairs and hung out on the lawn. Seems like they should discourage people from lingering around once they're finished eating so there's a higher turnover.
Yeah, thanks. Pandemic has been tough. I'm used to playing 150+ shows a year. It's impossible to make up what I've lost but hopefully it's a start.
