I Have Found Peace Within "The Funk"
Being a child from the 60's and 70's I was born within this obscure genre called "Funk".
Unfortunately with the great grooves of "Rock and Roll" ,"Jazz" and other great music at the time, I moved on through the 80's and 90' subconsciously into other genres......leaving my true love of this great music behind.
I am here now to tell you all my "Bassist Brothers and Sisters (and yes, other musicians to)" I have been "Reborn"!! ....And need you to join me in the ways of "Funkyness" .......please show us all the "Funk" that is inside us all.
Of course, I will start this off with a little something by "Kool and the Gang"......whatcha got??
With all this "Funk" around me, I feel like I need to take a shower........is it my feet??
Norwood Fisher is one dangerously funky individual!Majority of what I play is funk. Here are some past projects.
I played trumpet and co-wrote a bunch of tunes for this band. Norwood Fisher, Michael Hampton, and Ben Ellman all appear on the group's second album.
Bucket Express, by Big Ol' Dirty Bucket
I played bass with this group, jazz fusion funky style.
