Most landmarks/toursit attractions passed in drive home from rehearsal.

My car stereo broke, so I'm thinking too much while driving lately.

Realized on my drive home tonight from a rehearsal that I pass directly by, or can see all of the following, in this order:

Times Square/Broadway (when I give my guitarist a ride a little uptown)
Madison Square Garden
Empire State Building
World Trade Center (Ground Zero)
Brooklyn Bridge
Statue of Liberty
Verrazzano Bridge
Coney Island

All in less than a 45 minute drive.

What's your drive to or from rehersal like?

The Rocky Mountains, including several 14,000+ foot high peaks carpeted with pines and snow caps, elk, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, and cold clear running streams and rivers.

But thanks for reminding me Joe: I love New York. I make it a point to visit several times a year, and if I could land a decent job and afford it (lower Manhattan), I'd live there in a heartbeat.

6 months ago....the Chugach mountain range, (on a clear day) Mt. McKinley, drunk eskimos, and maybe a moose or two. Anchorage, AK.

Today, the concrete jungle formally known as Dallas, TX

I miss AK dearly.

ouch. Dallas sucks. I can't imagine the culture shock going from AK to Dallas.
(i'd tell you to move to Austin but i'm afraid you'll take my gigs):hiding:

as for rehearsal: an outlet mall, an abandoned Hummer dealership, a LOT of churches, and my ex-girlfriend's parent's house.
Whee, fun.

Dallas does suck!! Border line hate it here. But I've only been down here since early Dec, so it may grow on me. BUT, the schools are great around here....and homes are cheap. I have a little girl (1 y/o), and another kid on the way. TX schools are waaaaayy better than AK schools. Dallas will be a good place to raise a family. Plus, my wife did not like AK all that much. Needless to say, Dallas is gonna have to do for awhile. I'm about 2-3 weeks ago from closing on a house in McKinney. Once that's done, I'm here for 10-15....maybe 5 if I get out on good behavior.

So far, you win for the all natural category.
I thus far have claimed the man-made category.

Most beatiful women passed may be a viable category, but hard to determine a winner. Jmattt may be in the running, but NYC during rush hour is real hard to beat. Pics may become necessary for this thread.
