like you i also love the 80's music
but after 2 years i went back to the basics try ccr for starters easy stuff , you will learn alot from that
i started with eric clapton ,
now im doin b-52's ,steppinwolf,delbert mcclinton, tommy two tone
stuff like that .
all i can say is practice.
