This is an odd thread... my impression of the OPs sentiments is that they're pretty closed minded. I've played for 25 years, I know what I'm talking about, AND I know there are many approaches, theories, techniques, musical systems, and opinions about what to do and how to do it. I like hearing from those whose thoughts and styles differ from my own. I know enough to know I don't know it all, and the more I open myself to the possibilities of doing and thinking about things differently, the better a player I'll be. Don't shut the door, there will always be more to learn.

Seems like the Dunning-Kruger effect is the phenomenon whereby he who fancies them self superior because of stupidity; is unable to see that they're actually lacking in the brains department because of the aforementioned stupidity. I once looked up circular reasoning in the dictionary. It said, "see reasoning, circular."

Nobody is perfect... however, how do you know I didn't intend to write "bread". If you've read some of the above, you'd see that we've discovered that Spock WAS indeed half bread. Sourdough to be exact.
