I agree. This seller seems to be using the fact that the modifications, having been done by Kevin Kaufman, are what make it a one-of-a-kind. Seems that the mods actually would devalue it, regardless of who did the work.

The original models (as pictured in the post above) were never roasted, relic'd or ridiculous. I like what FCS did with the relic'd models which were created several years later, however, they did not offer relic'ing when these basses were produced.

I think the relics were created by the FCS much later. I purchased a 1997 fretless relic'd, that I believe was another Jaco tribute (no pickguard or screws, marked 03 of 17) which is probably from the time Vince Cunetto was doing this work for the FCS.
