I LOVE 15" "drivers" BUT...

If you're really a bass player you should own a van.
LOL!

I toured for 2 years loading my piggyback Standel with a deep 215 cab in the back of my VW bug. Had to make it fit. Pulled down the back seat and used the seat strap to hook it down; pushed both seats all the way forward; slid the cab in on its side across that opening between the seats while resting on the back of the front seats, and then flipped it down into the back of the bug. Then I moved the seats back to the normal position so my wife and I could sit comfortably (as comfortable as you can be in a VW Bug) in the front.

It just fit. I put the head along one side, my duffle bag against the other, and by bass in its case across the top. Also had space behind the seats to stash stuff if needed. I traveled all across California, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan carrying my amp and gear like that.

Have you tried removing the back of your BMW's back seat to expand the space from the trunk yet? That might just do the trick. And driving a BMW is a LOT more comfortable than driving a VW bug all those miles.

Personally, I love 15" drivers (especially EVM 15Bs, and Eminence KappaLites), but I'm having trouble designing a 215 (or 2x115s) that will fit in my minuscule BMW trunk!
Just get 2 1x15 cabs

12s are great! And I have a few 12s and 15s at hand... But need the sound and power of 2 15s...

GreenBoy 215s don't fit the trunk...

Any other suggestions?

Trade your B for a different model..... win win

Nonsense.

You can fit an SVT, an 810 and two basses in a Honda Civic...ask me how I know ;)

Honda punch well about their weight for load space so long as they have the magic seats option. We have a Jazz Hybrid and a 9th Gen Civic at home. Both have the magic seats where the back seats can be folded flat for huge load space. The Jazz in particular is like a mini-van, insane for a car with such a small footprint. That said, I'm going to punt it for an E Class estate for even more load lugging ability.

You can solve this in six easy steps.

1.Get a bunch of cardboard.
2.Get the dimensions of the cab you really want.
3.Shape cardboard to the size of all your gear (so you do not need to bring it.) including the cab you really want.
4.Flatten the cardboard so it fits in current car.
5.Go to dealership/car lot.
6. Set up all cardboard "gear" and say, "I need to fit this or I will not buy."

Now you have a rig that fits your rig.

New (automobile/cab) Rig Day. :hyper:

I did this when I bought my station wagon. Brought a head, cab, cart, and hard shell case to the dealers. If it didn’t fit, didn’t bother with a test drive.

Seems to me this is going to be a case for a home built cabinet. The standard rectangular box is fine for packing lots of stuff in trucks, not so good for single items in cars. It might be good to start with a commercial cabinet which will give you the volume and the porting, and then figure out how you can get that much volume into your load space. A cross section more akin to a wedge might fit better in a trunk for example, depending on what the car is. Any kind of odd cross section ought to work, and if the front is square the punters won't see how weird the back looks.

But an Odyssey can hold everything and also still have room for four passengers.
