I LOVE 15" "drivers" BUT...

Saying 15s sound like this, 12s sound like that is obsolete thinking.

Also, the SPL you get is more a function of cab design, and not always dependent on how much power a driver can handle or how much power you send it.

Duke LeJune of Audio Kinesis and Mike Arnopol of MAS probably have the most SPL/smallest footprint thing figured out.
That's @DukeLeJeune and @Mike Arnopol........;)

What's a BMW?

On serious side, Just curious what the max dimensions are ?

Likewise just paid 1,200 for a van. Blasting the air conditioning now. So following the trend of the thread. There is thrifty alternatives. That work well

Stick the cab on a dolly and use a bit of rope to pull it behind your car. If it has casters, you can just use the rope. Slow down on turns a touch.

Better to get a vehicle that makes it easy to move big cabs.

Personally, I love 15" drivers (especially EVM 15Bs, and Eminence KappaLites), but I'm having trouble designing a 215 (or 2x115s) that will fit in my minuscule BMW trunk!

12s are great! And I have a few 12s and 15s at hand... But need the sound and power of 2 15s...

GreenBoy 215s don't fit the trunk...

Any other suggestions?

A Greenboy F115 with a Crest Prolite 2.0 bridged into it

Buy a used(they're not made any more) Honda Element. It's the gigging musician's dream.Keep the "Beemer". OR go the cheaper route and buy a MAS 112 and keep the "Beemer". You will forget about 2 15's.
The CR-V, the Fit, and the HR-V are surprisingly good gear haulers, too. You should generally be able to hold a couple people and fit a fair amount of gear. I'm always impressed by how much Honda gets out of their interiors.

But need that third row if you want to haul all of the gear and all of the passengers. There's no replacement for displacement, I mean, actually having physical space.

Been using a Bag End 15 stack for decades now... 18” cubes, tough to find higher quality anything. Beware, their speakon wiring isn’t “standard,” but easy enough to wire your own cables. If they don’t fit in your trunk/seats, nothing will!

The only BMW I ever owned took not just my bass rig but also the keyboard player's fully-flightcased rig as well. 5 series estate (station wagon). Easy get an 8x10 in there.

Hey, not to be contentious or rain on your parade but after auto insurance, licenses, maintenance and for a $1200 value, the likelihood of repairs are guaranteed, year over year, it starts to loose the thrifty vibe.

Cheaper to do a one off build cost for a small box 15.

....and a BMW is thrifty?

We are on TalkCar aren’t we? We love some Bass playing so that’s how we roll.

Seriously. What if you do roadhouse gigs with a fridge and SVT Head? Next gig 2 1x12s class D head and PA sound on a stick. Next gig you and another mate drive an hour with both of your rigs. Next is your pre/DI and a bass for a last minute studio hit. Then they want your live rig because producer heard you murdering it with tone and wants that on the takes. Isn’t this how your life goes? It is for a lot of us. I don’t move PA anymore so I need less car space. But really I’m a believer in personal responsibility so I have what’s capable of moving my kit.

I LOVE driving too! The BMW 440i really IS the ultimate driving machine!

However, it is fairly small... Can't post trunk dimensions (don't have them), but the back seats do fold down.

Here's my current rig:

Although the amp is the BassBlock800 these days.

I have a 212 that rocks pretty hard too, but tuned a bit higher.
I also have a pair of vintage Carvin 115s that used to be great! But a bit too big for the Bimmer.

I also enjoy sealed cabs. Thinking about a 115 sealed cab, similar to about half of johnk_10's 215. That might just fit!
