Used an empress for a long time. Excellent tool. Realized that my preamp and OD did plenty of the compression I needed. Now I play with no comp.

At times I wonder whether I need a compressor. I also miss the Diamond a lot. The FEA is great and I have no problems with it at all. It is an excellent pedal, but I can't help but to think it's wasted on me LOL!
My Diamond Compressor will be buried with me. That thing has a 55 gallon drum of honey inside it.
Hi Will, having been through a similar thinking process to yours, I found that it was too much of a torture to attempt to determine which compressor I liked best so I decided to keep all those that I had feelings for. I currently own several that I love for their (sometimes subtle) uniqueness in tone and action and use them according to my moods and/or style requirements.
In my opinion, just as one would own different flavours of dirt pedals, there is nothing wrong with owning several compressors (as long as one can afford it).
You expressed in this thread and in another one how much you liked and then missed the Diamond ... please don’t hate me for saying that but if you really like what it did to your sound and you can afford it, forget about the fact that it is one more compressor, get it back and keep your FEA as well
