I have had gas for an ibanez for a while now but i have owned a few over thw years and didn't like any of them. I git rid of each one. Now i have gas for one again. Don't like anthing aboyt rhem feel and soundwise. I only want one cuz they have lots if models with the p/j pup configuratuon. And they a decently oriced.

Hmm...the only current model with a P/J config it's the GIO GSR200 - which is an entry level bass; other than that, most if not all Ibby basses have either J/J or humbuckers.
Anyway, if you have the chance, try a Premium SR1200E/1400E - if that bass won't change your opinion about Ibbys, nothing will

Bah i got my sr 705 in 2002 and it has been a love hate relationship ever since it might spend a year or two in the closet but it will eventualy come out 
Also realy disagree about the feel the neck is awsome string spacing though thats another thing

i have been guilty of gasing for basses that i can only see my self using in realy limited ocasions and stuff that i woold never use in a band content but gasing over a bass i know il hate ? no but i dont hate that many basses to begin with so ....

Silly question. If I GASSED for it, I obviously CARED for it! Now if you mean have I ever GASSED for a bass that turned out to be something that I really lost interest in, within a few months? Sure. Sometimes you see some entry level thing that really you are too advanced to really be thinking of buying, but there is something about it you want to know about. My Carlo Robelli 8 string was like that. I simply wanted to know what the deal was with 8 string (doubled). And in a couple of months I found out: Yeah cool but limited in usage. So now the problem is I've got this entry level 8 string I've got to get rid of so I can GAS for a quality 8 string or maybe even a 12 string or what I really GAS for is a 10 string... and so on.
Or if you mean have I GASSED for a bass that I really had difficulty playing? Sure. Fell in love with my Alembic fretless 6 string. HAD to own it! Did. But cripes was that too much bass for me at that time! I struggled with that sucker for YEARS until I finally got to the point where I could make it speak the way I wanted it to.
So to me GAS is all about learning new things. Sure you may buy a bass that once you learn all about it, it's time to move on to another one. And sure you TRY to minimize the cost of the parade of basses. But the fact is you are paying for your education learning in detail all about each bass, because I firmly believe if you REALLY want to learn what it is about a certain kind of bass you actually have to live with one for a while. If you love it and keep it, that's OK, and if you have to move on to the next learning project, that's OK too.
I think the OP is trying to say he bought a bunch of units hoping one of them would be his holygrail, "tried" to make them work but couldn't and now he is on the hunt for a one time purchase to last longer than he does?

I hate Fenders/Squiers still even though I'm not ever gonna buy one their not really worried they got lots of people still chewing whatever crap their shoveling. Kinda like Apple.

You want an excellent P/J at a decent price? Take some time and look for a used Guild Pilot or Pilot Pro. They were semi-handbuilt in Westerly, RI, many have quartersawn necks, all use top notch woods, hardware, and electronics and are usually below $500. I got this for a ridiculous $99.99:
It's one of the best feeling, best playing, best sounding basses I've tried out at any price. Get off your self-destructive Ibanez kick. It's a sickness. I'm not dissing Ibanezes here; but they're not suitable on some level for the OP, and some incredible used basses are available with much better woods and parts for less money than a mid-level Ibby.
If you don't like a certain brand, whatever it is, that's fine. It's ok to say you don't like it. But don't slam others for liking it - it's pointless, counterproductive, and frankly, it makes you look stupid.

Hey i used to hate Fenders/squiers and im rocking my VM jazz now and im loving it but seriusly i woodnt mind counter sugesting but dont bash ppl for buying them !
yes, i have. sometimes because i think i should own one for some reason. like owning p and a j because you should have one of both but i'd never play the j in reality. resist or you'll just end up selling it.
I'm currently on my fifth G&L. I've owned two G&L L2000 Tributes and two G&L L2500 Tributes in the past, and I now own a G&L L2000 Tribute (again). In my case it wasn't so much that I didn't care for them, but I wanted them to be Jazz Basses (and some was switching back and forth from 4 to 5 strings). I did coil tapping mods to get single-coil sounds but kept trading and selling them off.
I now have a Jazz (an SX) that I like a lot and am learning to appreciate my L2000 Tribute for what it is and how it sounds.
