I Must Resist!!!

Took my daughter to her music lesson today and there was an Ibanez BTB 845 on the rack on consignment. What an incredible instrument. I almost had to buy it on principal. Almost half off the price of a new one. I can't even play the one bass I have worth a crap yet so I definitely have not earned or deserve it. Something to aspire to and motivate me though!

If we bought basses only because we feel we've earned them, this forum would be much quieter.

I'm currently playing Ibanez SDRM 200 Mezzo. I am really satisfied with it actually, I was just kind of blown away by that 5 string's upgraded features and overall quality. Thing was a beast. I was smart enough not to plug it in and play it that way I still kinda don't know what I am missing, LOL.

You have a very good quality 4 string. You just have not figured out yet that your brain was telling you its time to add a 5 string . What you did was find a great deal on a nicer quality instrument that you already know make good product. It is something you dont already have. It is a worthy purchase. The only thing better than one good bass, is more than one good bass. No one likes to color with the same crayon. Thats why they come in packs of multiple colors. You dont start with blue and say Im not worthy of red or green yet. You pickup whatever color you desire to see in your coloring book.

As a mother of 4, I'm in the grow into camp rather than grow out of.

Last week, I was in the same situation . Never owned or played Fretless bass before.I always considered myself not good enough to go there. Always told myself , "I don't play Fretless " One became available close by that was same model as my fretted bass. Only this one is limited edition and this company no longer builds Fretless . I'd ordered one and cancelled at the last minute because I didn't think I should spend that much on my first Fretless . I was offered a great deal on another one from my local mom and pop. Still too much for what I thought I deserved. So I passed.
On this one however, the price was $1k off new but mint condition . I would have been a fool not to get it.
I'm having such fun growing into my new bass!!:bassist::hyper::p

Don't be :nailbiting::chicken::help:.
Go get that bass!!!:thumbsup::smug:
congrats on your fretless..:cool:

Trade in your bass and it'll be even less than half.
