... I can just plug into my interface and record. And, other than a little EQ and compression, (etc), would be done.
Let me clarify - I'm looking for just a studio bass. Will never be used live. But I'm not really a bass player, so I don't want to fiddle with a ton of knobs and switches to find my tone. It just confuses me, distracts me and frustrates me. Would I would LIKE to do is plug in and record. And it would have to work for various types of music - rock (not overly hard), pop, country, praise and worship, ballady stuff, etc. And I would really like something that cuts through a mix very nicely and is very defined, rather than just be fat and huge.
Is this possible? I have a nice L-2500 Tribute, and - as stated above - I get tired of tweaking on it. Do I need a Precision or a Jazz? I'd like to spend between $500 - $1000. Used is fine. I'll likely sell or trade the L-2500 to fund some of that.
I hope I've been specific enough for y'all to propose suggestions. I know these questions can get old, and I have done a lot of searching for answers, as well. But any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank y'all!!
