Speaking of Kesey, how 'bout reading 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'? Even better than the movie - it's actually told from the point of view of the Indian.

Great book, also "Sometimes a Great Notion." "Garage Sale" was a disappointment though.

The Shannara series by Terry Brooks is a good read...I haven't read the most recent parts yet, but it was alway touch to not read these books quickly.

Still Life with the Woodpecker by Tom Robbins is pretty fun to read.
