The ceapest basses I know are sx's 100 new. It's hard to find a bass that cheap new but see what you cand find.

Why do you need it for your church?

If you guys have a serious bass player, I'm sure he has his own bass?
You get what you pay for, though.

But back on topic, a used Squire or Yamaha should do the trick...

Very poor church.. There is a guy that want's to play but he doesn't have one... he is very poor too

Craigslist, local want ads, and ask church members if anyone has one to donate.

It's hard to think that someone might not be able to afford 100 bills in modern day U.S. That's the price of a couple of jeans!!

but back on topic, look @ ebay for the SAGA bass guitar kits. Hell, a quick search for "bass guitar" sorted by ending soonest popped up this squier ending in 30 mins for 60 bucks!!!

Best bet that I've seen is use Craigslist locally and find a used Squier. I regularly see them for under $100, especially that beginner's kit model.

If you can go a little above 100, I'd recommend an SX, as they seem to get good reviews around here.
