i need a delay and a phaser for under $100. can someone here recommend a decent phaser and a decent delay that i could get in my price range?

For delay, you might want to check out the Danelectro FAB echo. It's not the most versital thing in the world, but it sounds good, I like mine. Plus, it's only $15 new.
Leaving a decent chunk of money for a phaser. Check out the MXR Phase 90, I've been GASing for one for quite a while, it works and sounds great on bass. Should be able to squeeze it into your price range... If you can find it used, that would help quite a bit.
If you could find a Phase 90 and a Boss DD-3 both used, you might be able to get them both. The DD-3 is a very good delay unit (I have it along with the FAB echo). Just note that usually decent delays are quite expensive, so your options here are very limited.

yeah ive only got 100 bucks. thanks all for your help. im defiantly gonna look for the phase 90 and the dd-3 used.

definately go used! their is a boss phaser that ive heard good things about... the Ph- somethign or other i believe?
The Boss PH-3 is Boss' current phaser. It's a bit more versatile than the Phase 90, but I think the Phase 90 just sounds better. But yeah, that's another phaser you could try out.

Go used. I grabbed a Boss PH-3 from GC for $60 and a Digitech Digidelay from another guitar store (found on Craigslist) for $55.
Now to search for a BSW and possibly a WH-4.

if the DD-3/phase 90 combo is too expensive, the ibanez DE-7 delay/echo is a pretty inexpensive alternative. I think theyre around 65 dollars new, and i bet you could get a slightly used one a lot cheaper.

does the digitech delay mess up your tone as much as the bp200 in bypass? if not im gonna get that and the phase 90.

yeah. ive read that typically the phaser comes before the delay, but ive found that what ive read about the order of effects doesnt sound as good as some other combinations ive came up with, although right now i dont that have many pedals to organize. just a rc2 looper, mxr m-80 di, and a boss compressor. im looking to expand my pedal board by getting the phaser and delay, and later a few other effects.
Is there a bass verison of the Danelectro? All I'm finding is guitar ones, or do the guitar ones work well with bass?
I've used the Small Stone and liked it a lot. There is a slight volume drop when the effect is engaged that is a little annoying, but the pedal sounds awesome. Recently, a Pigtronix phaser/envelope filter replaced it.
Don't they call it an "Envelope Phaser" ?
I prefer my phaser after the delay with a long delay time so I can swell notes and create a spacey soundscape effect
i use a few dano pedals and they work fine on bass. you may want to try them out beforehand.
and i must say, the DOD phaser would be fabulous if it weren't so noisy!
