Ok, i have a dean edge 4 bass its nothing special but one day it was "popping" so i asked my friend to see if he could take a look at it and he rewired the whole thing different and theres just solder globs everywhere. Does anybody know where i can get liek a wiring schematic for it cuz im really not good with electronics. its got sopabar pickups and a dean preamp if that helps but i'm really blind with this stuff.

I need help bad

yeah i took it to the dealer that i bought it from and he told me the pickups were dead so i was like ok. then a couple months later i looked and one of the power wires was disconnected and it worked again but it still popped then my friend ****ed it up i just need a wiring schematic for it but i didn't think it would be so hard to find.
Sounds like the dealer isn't a qualified person as suggested. Find someone with more experience installing active pickups and preamps. If just soldering is involved, this should be a low cost repair
i went to radioshack and bought some test leads and unsoldered everything and found what made what work i have sound coming out of it now but im getting a weird feedback coming from the volume pot cuz when i lower the volume all the way on the bass and crank it on the amp it sounds fine its just not loud enough to jam with. Could i figure out ohms of the pot with a multimeter then just replace the pot?
