man, you hit the nail right on the head, at my gigs, we'd probably put vocals through our amps too if we thought they'd do a better job than the P.O.S. PA.
Blenders are hardly the most expensive piece of gear you'll find. If you want to sound big, buy one. Either that, or buy another amp rig, that way you'll be dealing as much aural pain as you would if you had a guitarist - that's what the guy from Death from Above 1979 (bass/drums duo) did back in the day. The blender is probably still cheaper than another rig, tho
+1. The micropog seems to be the best octaver for general use, due to its great tracking. I'll be getting one myself soon enough, and I have two guitards playing with me

Cheap route 1: Get a blender kit from Wounded Paw and build it...or do up your own PCB and source the parts yourself.
Cheap route 2: If you don't care about bypass/buffering, get a Boss LS-2 used.

Maybe I'll try to scare up a 250 watt peavy tube head this summer. And then run my XXL B and my nonexistant BBM into it or something

Other than that, try spitting your signal [and then bring it back down to one is you only have one input] via A/B/Y boxes, cable splitters, mixers ect, add EQs at the end of each chain before re-summing for more control and extra vast heavyness.

Why always with the Sunn? I know the name has a cachet in that genre these days, but there's a lot of tube amps out there with similar circuitry.....
they are great when they pop up but why wait when other great tube amps are out there - is it just me or are there actually MORE all-tube amps on the market now than a couple years ago?
And volume, the real old tube Sunns arn't really "that" loud, but as one that has one, they are good sounding amps and to me what sets them apart is how they compress, tube Sunns REALLY pump with your dynamics.

MORE CABS (big old ones preferably, not new lightweight little girl toys)
In my band, I've found myself using the E string less and less. We're tuned to drop B, but a lot of the stuff we've made lately, I barely touch that low B. I use power chords a lot. Always sounds louder that way.
You can't go wrong with Sunn amps, solid state or tube. All Loud as f***.
As far as pedals, octave is a great thing to have with this kind of music, and for more drone oriented parts, delay comes in handy. And of course a fuzz pedal. I use a Supercollider and I absolutely love it. Planning on getting a reverb sometime soon.

Wierd, I was going to suggest a Big Muff, but yeah your already set on pedals...maybe an Octaver.
