I need some help!

I've always used my Ampeg b2re head with my Ampeg svt-410hlf cab. But recently I joined a new band and the singer gave me his hartke 410xl to stack with my current setup. So I tried it. But it seems as though my head just isn't powerful enough for the two cabs. My friend suggested adding his extra QSC power amp to my setup along with my current ampeg head.

So my question is...should/can I do this?
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm very new with all this stuff.

The Ampeg cab is 4 ohm and the hartke 410xl is 8 so you are dead right your amp is not designed to drive that low an impedance apart from the imbalance of having twice the power going to the Ampeg hlf.
In order to power the hartke you will need another amp.

Would you recommend using the QSC power amp though?

Simple. Use your rig the way it is. Send the preamp out or effects send ( I forget which, haven't had my B2r for a loong time) to the QSC driving his Hartke cab. Done.
