I need some ohm/power help.

I don't ask for much help but this is an area I don't trust myself with so im looking to you experts for some guidance.

I'm looking for a 410 cabinet. No particular brand yet but something decent to gig with. I'm looking to run it with a Crown XTI 1000 into a Sansamp rbi. The question is, what kind of power handling ratings in a cab should I be looking for with this power amp.

The xti claims
275 watts per channel at 8 ohms
500 per channel at 4 ohms
1400 bridged at 4 ohms

I'd look for an 8Ω cab with a power handling of about 800W.

I'd run the Sansamp into the Crown rather than the way you plan.

Or ...two of said 8 ohm cabs that you connect in parallel that would then provide 1600W at 4 ohms. Then you can rock the stadium.

I would look for a cab that sounds the say you want. Then use it regardless of the power rating, and use whats between your ears to not blow the cab up.

Why not look at a pair of 2x10s one on each side of your amp run in parallel. In a vertical stack they have better dispersion and a smaller footprint than a 4x10.

4 ohm unless you plan on adding a second cab, AND plan on running a mono bridged stack, in which case get an 8ohm, so that you can run 2 x8ohm cabs and present a 4ohm load to the amp

I like the power amp's power ratings. That's pretty versatile. The option to use 1,2,3 or 4 cabs, the single channel 8 ohm rating is a nice spot for so many single speaker cabs. Do they make it in a micro ?
