Wow! I love its look. Fretboard looks awesome! What are these pickups? I tried zooming, but can't really see the brand.

The same could be said about sports teams. Why do you hate to admit this? Basses aren't like sports teams, you don't have to root for or against them...
Talk about Ugh! I have no idea why this pic posted like that. No matter what I tried, it always came up like this.
Yeah. I gave up. It won’t even open on my desktop. What model is it?
The AFR and the Grooveline from a few years ago were pretty unique designs.
I can be, privately, pretty snobby about those myriad Ibanez basses. I keep it to myself because they're way better than the budget basses that were available when I was a pollywog, but could never see myself playing one.
A while back, a guy I know invited me out to hear his band. Okay, sure, support your pals. Bassist was using one of those SRwhatevs. Sounded okay to me. Then my buddy invited me up to play a few songs....and the bassist gladly invited me to use his bass. Ruh roh. Is anyone looking?
Truthfully, the bass played well. And with a little EQ fiddling, it sounded great. And that's why I keep my snobby attitude about those basses to myself.
Go check it out. Which one is it?there's been a Musician sitting @ $500 near me for over a month, unbelievable! I want to try it so bad...

I love my sr805am. Got some very expensive planks for comparison. Mostly it’s the fingers that make a bass sound sweet but this Ibanez feels as good as Alembics and old Fenders.
aaaaaand ...it's gone! either someone wised up and snagged'r recently it or was taken down, of course I'm not finding the ad which I tend to archive either to show you the bass. I'll post if it shows up. it wasn't the PJ, the PUs were identical in looks and had the multi-array of switches / knobs they tended to employ. decent cond. too, on the bright side I hope it went to a worthy new owner.Go check it out. I always crack the joke, "I can make any bass sound bad!" lolLots of basses sound good when operated by the right set of fingers.
Where's the sound? (Hint: not the bass.)
If something like that shows up again, pick it up. IME, you won't regret it.aaaaaand ...it's gone! either someone wised up and snagged'r recently it or was taken down, of course I'm not finding the ad which I tend to archive either to show you the bass. 84 passive bean musician for me
Ibanez was my first bass purchase, they have come along way, since the late 70’s. The play great, but for me, the neck width is TOO narrow, especially at the nut. That has to do a lot with the playability, IMO.
