I’ve always been an Ibanez fan and always been impressed by the tone. I’ve been on the lookout for a used Roscoe Fretless 5 or 6 but can’t swing the dough. I think I’m gonna look towards Ibanez and see what I can find. I’m sure I’ll get a hell of a lot of bass for a lot less bread.
Ibbys do sound good!,I heard a band at a restaurant this weekend. The bass sounded exceptionally good. I had to get closer to see what he was playing. It was a older ibanez sdgr with humbuckers. Nooo! I have never been a ibanez fan, i hate to admit this....but it sure sounded good!

Uploading the pic today was super easy. Last evening no matter what I did, on my phone as well as my computer, it would not work. IDK, I think maybe Talkbass was acting up.
The bass is arriving today. I like everything about it on paper but worried about the string spacing. We shall see. Come on Fedex!
The bottom line though is, if you like, who cares what it is or how much it cost?
Just my opinion, but spending more on a bass only helps your playing if there is something about your current bass that is holding you back. Some basses are so bad that they do hinder your playing, but today, most basses, with a good setup, are at least adequate. That’s the thing about Ibanez Basses.... They definitely don’t have that TB Status Symbol appeal. Nothing wrong with that though. I wish I could spend eight grand on a bass, but, in the end, I don’t think it would help me as a player all that much.
Damn Talkbass. Just ordered this bass. SMDH.

Ibanez was my first bass purchase, they have come along way, since the late 70’s. The play great, but for me, the neck width is TOO narrow, especially at the nut. That has to do a lot with the playability, IMO.
