I Really hate to admit this....

I love the tone build quality and feel of my Ibanez Mikro!

I’ve always felt that you truly are really just better than everyone else on TB.... You just proved me right. There should be forums about you on here. You’re just that much better than us. But, I should keep this to myself.

Why do you think I'm better than "anyone else on TB", given that I freely admit that I'm a lunch pail bassist, definitely no great talent, and I play mid-level (for TB) production line basses?

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the admiration, but you should set your sights a little higher than you apparently have.

(Srsly: who yanked your chain?)

I haven't played a cheap bass yet that I like. I keep picking them up though, maybe some day I'll be surprised. I think the least expensive bass I've owned that was my main bass was the Japanese Geddy Lee Jazz. Very nice and I think I bought it for $600 used. I had a G&L 1500 that I picked up for about $550. I've also had some high end basses ($2,000+) that I didn't like, so spending more money doesn't always mean a better fit.

The bottom line though is, if you like, who cares what it is or how much it cost?

Seems like you're implying that Ibbys are ALL cheap/inexpensive basses?

They're not all around $300, their Premium SR line retails for over $1000 and the Prestige model is over $2000.

One problem with SRMS805 and its pretty glaring. High fret. Horrible buzz on the f# on the E string. The B on the A string and the A on the G String. The only reason this position on the B and D strings are they are setup higher.

Going to contact Sweetwater. Never bought an instrument from them before so hoping they take care of it.

Bummer. You’ve checked the relief and the nut slot height?

This bass is gorgeous in real life.

Ok, my one nitpick with Ibby SRs is that sometimes that upper horn can look a little too long/pointy. Not sure if this is the case with yours or just the angle of the picture.

Kinda why I gravitated to Spector (well that and the curved body and the sound). I prefer the more rounded, less pointy upper horn (and to a smaller degree, the headstock compared to the pointy/sharp angled SR headstock...the Musician headstock though is great).

Still, that is a gorgeous finish! Nice.

I re-read my post, I don't think I mentioned Ibanez.

I notice you skip right over the part of my post, "The bottom line though is, if you like, who cares what it is or how much it cost?"

I took some relief out and it got a bit better but still there. How would the nut slot height effect this? On only one fret? Not being a smarta** just don't understand.

Sweetwater contacted me right away. Their solution was for me to ship this back and choose one of the other ones in stock and they would ship it to me. I think I will pass on that as this is the bass I want.
