I Rig 2 / I Rig 2 HD - Thoughts or other comparable devices?

I have been reading more about the Irig 2/ Irig 2 HD with mixed reviews

what are peoples thoughts about this?

I'm mostly looking to use it to record to my phone and send Ideas back and forth to my drummer to bounce ideas off each other.

I like the other capabilities of the irig but I dont know what people think of it and if there is something similar

Recently bought the iRig2 to grab random musical ideas. It's worked great w/ Music Memo app. I record thru my Ampeg SRC-DI using a Beat Buddy Mini2 on to my iPad. Only the bass gets recorded and then I add drums on Music Memo to give the passage some context before forwarding to my geetar player. In your case, you could use Music Memo to add guitar before sending to your drummer. This setup has spurred lots of new ideas lately.

The iRig2 is cheap, very easy to use, and has worked great so far.

I'm pretty happy with the iRIG duo since it gives me 2 in's at a time for a solid stereo recording or instrument + vocals. I use it mostly with an ipad but I've used it via USB as an interface for jam kazam too. It takes a plug and/or batteries. What could be bad?
I just ordered the Duo. Should have it this week.
